Dear Jennifer:
We have just completed our first week with "Cooper" and I
couldn't be more pleased. He had his vet check up Thursday and
my vet just went on and on about what a super little dog he is.
It is obvious to everyone who comes in contact with him that not
only has he had a great start on a healthy life, he is abundantly
socialized as well. He loves people and other dogs on sight
providing he gets to meet on his level.
Cooper never meets a stranger and is a happy little dog. He
doesn't jump or shy away at loud noises or sudden movements. In
fact, he walked in our local St. Patrick's Day parade and never
missed a beat. All the clowns, cars, kids, bagpipes and other dogs
never phased him. Cooper proved to be just what I needed at a
most difficult time and I love every second I'm around him. He is
going on a road trip next week and will be going to Chama, NM
over the Labor Day holiday so he will be a well traveled little
guy by fall.
I have been asked repeatedly where I got him and I am always
happy to share his beginnings with everyone who inquires.
Thanks for breeding a super little dog with such great qualities.

Roberta actually bought 3 puppies from us. She bought the Black/Silver male
pictured left. Then a few weeks later, she bought the salt/pepper girl pictured
below and left and her brother as well. Here's what she had to say:
Hi. I just got home with Raven a few minutes ago. The flight was a bit late
and then it is an hour's drive from Casper Airport to Alcova. I am just in awe
of this little bundle!!! He is a beauty and I think he is going to be extremely
easy to handle and train. The first thing I did was give him a drink and he
was really thirsty. We got home, on the grass, and he immediately did his
duty. I was worried that our cat might be offended by him but they seem to
have hit it off already-- not even a hiss. I got a chest harness that fits him
well and he leads (or follows me) wonderfully. He hasn't mastered the steps
going up yet but he can get down them. Simply adorable!!!! Can't thank you
enough for breeding such a masterpiece. I'm sure he is going to be noticed and
I will recommend your kennel to everyone.

Pecan got here in fine shape-- her kennel was dry and she was very
composed-- I guess that is one thing I noticed about her photo-- she looked
confident. What a beautiful girl she is! I am very happy with everything
about her...It's so funny, the cat likes them both and they both like him. And
dogs and cats are supposed to fight! Anyway, they are napping now after we
just got in from the yard. Thanks again for doing such a great job with your
puppies!

We are really enjoying Boomer! He was wonderful on both the trip to
Edmond and then to Albuquerque. He has adjusted easily as far as I
can tell and is eating, drinking, playing, sleeping and acting as happy
as can be. We have bought the Chicken Soup puppy food and he seems
to like it. I have started reading the training manual you emailed and
it seems to be working with housebreaking. We have had a couple of
accidents but I think that is our fault for forgetting to take him out
on schedule. I purchased a crate for him today. We haven't used one
in the past but I think with a puppy, at night, when we are traveling
in the car, and when he is alone at home for a couple of hours, it will
work out better for him. Overall we are loving having Boomer and he
seems to be happy too. One question I had was what shampoo would
you recommend for him? Based on our experience with Boomer so
far, you can take pride in the beautiful, well-adjusted, happy puppies
you raise!
